Beech tree reaching into the sky
This tree stood almost alone by the road. My wife and I spotted it while walking at Winterthur. It was tall and the ground cover was sparse enough that I could get right up to the base, place my phone on the bark and shoot straight up. It was a great day and this was a really satisfying shot.

Have you thought about using a larger format when you post your pictures? They look much better that way. To really see them right I have to open the photo by itself in a new tab in my browser.
Thanks! I will look into that – I’m still getting used to the mechanics of posting and the details of the different editor options. I’ll check it out, though.
