Streaks of Sunrise Clouds

I took this photo a few weeks ago. I took a few shots and posted on of a “big sky” view but this one has stayed in my rotation until now. I love the brilliant red color in the clouds against the trees. I also like the streaking of the clouds in the sky. I don’t remember the wind that day, but there must have been some wind in the sky to cause that pattern.

Tuesday Art: I took this photo a number of years ago. We had a winter with sustained cold temperatures and we were living at our previous home. There, I had a very short drive to a local lake and could be there almost any time. I took advantage and this was one of those times. I was there at sunset and able to catch the sunset glinting on the lake’s ice. I remember that I didn’t stay long as my hands became numb while getting this shot. It was worth it.
