Sunset and Wispy Clouds to Close the Week

Photo of the Day 237/366

My youngest asked if I wanted to go for a walk last evening and at first, I didn’t want to go because it had been a long week, and I was tired. I looked at the time, it was still light out, so I relented and went. We reached a break just at sunset. The clouds were there in layers – there was a layer near the sun which darkened the horizon, but there were others which lit up with the sunshine. It WAS a beautiful end-of-week sunset and I’m glad I went for that walk.

Deep in the San Bernadino Mountains

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Saturday Choice:  This photo was pulled from way back in my archives. My best guess is that this was taken back in 1997 or so. I know I had been on an double week business trip to California and on the weekend, one of my friends and I took a drive into the mountains. There had been a wildfire recently and he had been very wary of driving the mountain roads because the guard-rails were burnt out. I did love the mountain views, though. I have some good memories of that trip and this photo brought them back.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
