Afternoon Sky over the Yard

Photo of the Day 253/366

This photo was taken a few weeks ago while out looking at a farm near us. The sun was setting and I turned and the setting sun had turned the eastern sky’s clouds bright with reds and oranges. These trees looked a little bare.  We had some storms, and as it’s getting close to autumn here and some of the leaves are blown off more easily and these trees are sitting in the open. I liked this scene.

Waiting for a Diner Breakfast

Monday Monochrome:  This photo is from my archives and was taken, perhaps, 10 years ago. It was taken in a dinar / restaurant in a nearby town. It no longer looks like this – the restaurant has been purchased, upgraded, purchased again, and renovated again. It is now cleaner and “more modern” and hopefully, will survive.  I, however, like the nostalgia of an old-fashioned diner. Luckly, we still have a few of those.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
