Autumn Colors in the Sunshine

Photo of the Day 284/366

This photo was taken a number of years ago when we had our cabin in the woods. I loved that place for the solitude, the nature, the disconnection, and the sheer beauty.  Autumn is already one of my favorite times, but when I can get up, go for a walk in the woods and see the sun shining through the autumn leaves with the crisp air and blue skies, it doesn’t get much better.

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Thursday Architecture: This photo was taken this past summer on a trip we took with my son and his wife. We were showing my kids our alma mater. On our way back to our car, I looked up and stopped. I told them to go ahead and I’d catch up. I snapped this photo because I liked the play of the brick, the blue sky and clouds, and the reflections. My son said a few minutes, later, “I knew you’d see that and take a photo of it.”  I guess he knows me.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
