Sweeping Vista behind Kentuck Knob

Photo of the Day 302/366

On our mini-vacation to western PA, we stopped at 3 Frank Lloyd-Wright homes, Fallingwater (poasted yesterday), Ploymath Park (which consisted of 4 homes), and Kentuck Knob. While all the homes were amazing in their detail and architectural marvel, the fact that Wright wanted to put the homes “in nature” was amazing. This view behind Kentuck Knob was fabulous. I can’t imaging waking up and seeing this view – just breathtaking.

Round Barn in the Sunset Light

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Monday Monochrome: This photo was taken on our way home from our long weekend away. We were driving and the sun was setting as we got closer to our home. I decided the take some shots in monochrome to see what I could get with the waning light of the afternoon. Near to us is the “round barn” shop and as we neared it, the sunset light just hit it and I grabbed this photo. I wish I had been there a minute or two earlier to get the whole thing lit – but it is what it is.
