Late Autumn Pretty Sunset

Photo of the Day 315/366

My youngest and I went on a quick trip to the store last evening, and I didn’t bring my “camera” but I had my phone. The setting sun was amazing, despite my offspring’s warnings about “stopping in the middle of the road” – I did manage to get some good shots. This was shot within a half-mile from my home and taken out of my car window but I think it was very much worth the “risk”.

Into St. Louis from the Bridge

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Sunday Street Photography: This photo was taken from my archives. We had been in St. Louis visiting my sister and her family. We had eaten downtown and were exploring the Mississippi River bridge and sights. I remember that as the sun was setting, we decided to finish and walk back. This was the view of the city then. Today’s editing tools let me take this from a “blah” to a much nicer shot. I brought up the shadows and toned down the brightness and the shot came to life.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
