Autumn Across the Valley

Photo of the Day November 11, 2024

This photo was taken 2 years ago on an autumn getaway to northern Pennsylvania.  My wife and I were wondering across the countryside following a map of covered bridges. With the ones that were blocked off for motor vehicles, I would always try to cross the bridges to see what most don’t see anymore. This was one of those views. The farm fields on the other side of the bridge opened into this wide valley and the autumn colors were just outstanding!

Autumn Leaves in the Sunshine

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Monday Monochrome: This photo was taken at our previous home. I had been out for a walk and noticed the afternoon sun shining through the leaves on these trees. I tried a number of different angles, but this is one I chose as the best. The sunshine hit the leaves, but the hedge (in the middle ground) held the grass in shadow (tough tot tell that) – but that’s one of the reasons I liked it.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
