Afternoon Clouds with Blue Patches

Photo of the Day 337/366

I took this photo from the car window while on the way home from my son’s house. I saw the beautiful sky and the potential for the sunset – but we were in a time crunch. On the ride home, I tried many photos from the moving car but none came out and the clouds were moving in quickly. In the end, the sunset fizzled, and this was the best sky I could catch. I still like the photo – the cloud colors, the hidden sun, and the blue patches of sky.

Gate Detail Between the Buildings

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Monday Monochrome: This photo was taken some years ago on one of my lunchtime walks in our state’s capital city. I tried many takes of this but this is the only one I kept. The gate is centered, I like the detail in the gate, the texture of the buildings, and the lighting. Finally, I like that I shot it in black and white. This one works for me.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
