Sunset Sky over the Hills and Fields

Photo of the Day 16/365

This photo was taken about 2-3 weeks ago while out on an evening jaunt before the snows came. It’s been so cold and we’ve been too busy to go out this week chasing sunsets so I decided to reach back a bit for a good photo. I like the sunset sky colors, especially the fringes on the clouds and the blue hills in the distance. While lacking a specific subject, the overall country scene is a good one for me.

Old Handrail into the Mississippi

Thursday Analogous Colors: This theme is bugging me. I don’t often try to choose my colors, but rather go with whatever the world provides to me. I prefer to capture the serendipitous – and this one MIGHT match both. We were in St. Louis down at the river just after a flood. The blue hand railing going into the water, the sky, and the sign are all shades of blue so I hope this meets the color challenge.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
