Missing Warm Days at the Lake

Photo of the Day 32/365

It was a very dreary and busy day yesterday so I decided to reach into my archives and bring back a memory from the warm spring days of the past. This photo is from our locak state park. The memory of the warm afternoon, the beautful skies, the calm water – it all comes together to make me yearn for the end of winter. However, as I age, I try not to wish my life away, it’s ebbinh away too quickly, as it it.

Quote of the Day: “There will always be a part of me that is dirty and sloppy, but I like that, just like all the other parts of myself.” – Matthew Quick

Portrait of a Tiger Lily

Saturday Nature: This photo was taken at my son’s home. Before it was my son’s home, it was our family’s home. I’m not exactly sure why, but these lilies grow to 5-6 feet high sometimes. Due to some of the height, it makes taking individual flower shots easier and I didn’t have to bend over or crouch. This isone of the nicest ones I’ve taken of these blooms.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
