 Frosty Valley Just Before Dawn

Photo of the Day 39/365

I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Most of the snow has melted but it was cold so the frost lay between the trees and the remaining snow. Yesterday, the sky glowed with color and the air was clear so the hills shown in nice shades of blue. I just felt the need to pull over and grab a handful of pictures before heading to work. The colors didn’t last for long so I’m glad I did.

Leaves in the Snow

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Saturday Nature: I’ve always liked this photo. The minimalist feel to it, the angle of leaves, the brown of the leaves and the white of the snow.  With no marks or tracks in the snow, it almost make it look fake – but it was what it was. It was taken at my last residence on a snowy Saturday when no one was moving and roads were covered as well as all the yards. I’ve just loved the seemeingly peaceful feeling I get when I look at this photo.
