Lonely Sunset Cloud

Photo of the Day 68/365

I took this photo this weekend and, as usual, it took a bit of editing to get the image to show what I saw. The variance of light is just too much for the camera – so editing brought it to life and made it worth posting. I really do like the soft edge of color in the cloud, the blue hills, and the field in the foreground. It feels peaceful, to me.

Sunday Monochrome:  This photo was pulled from my archives and has not been posted before, to my recollection. It was taken, I believe at Fort Knox, in Maine. I had reduced the exposure to ge the “mood” of the place but went oo far. I editied it to bring up a little bit of the light and realized that it’s almost an optical illusion.  Truth is, you’re looking down the steps….

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
