Red Sunset Shining on the Grass

Photo of the Day 256/366

I took this photo this past week and could not resist zooming in as far as I could as the sun was sinking. It was only when I took a hard look at the resulting image (on my computer and not my phone), that I saw the sunlight shining on the grass in the foreground. When I first looked, I liked the streaky, unusual clouds, but the grass just makes it even better.

Quote of the Day: “Patience doesn’t arise spontaneously, we have to make an effort and familiarize ourselves with it. What’s more, it’s those hostile to us rather than our friends who teach us patience.” – Dalai Lama

Farm Building at Sunset

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Thursday Architecture:  This photo was taken earlier this summer. I really liked the photo but it was not my usual fare of “sunsets” – so I haven’t posted it. When I looked back, I thought that the building made a nice “architecture” shot for the group combining my love of sunsets. The light on the building was from the dusk-to-dawn light that had just come on – and I like the way it gave a faint light to the building.

Joe Bennett

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
