Memories of Beach and Blue Sky
Photo of the Day 292/366
This photo was taken from my archives. I miss the ocean, the surf, the sand, the sounds and all that comes with being near the ocean. I only get to spend about one week per year in an area of the country that allows me to feel that coast. I revel in it, but when I leave, I miss it all the more. This scene has memories attached of Cape May, Cape Cod, and to a lesser extent, Maine. In my mind, I know just what’s over that hill – I can hear the waves and the seagulls. Wish I was there – now.

Friday Creative: I took this photo earlier this year while visiting a Lighthouse Museum. These lenses are fascinating to me, in that they can magnify and focus light such that it can send a beam out to be seen for miles. In this photo, I likes the reflections and how the light cam e though the lens and made a circular arc pattern. I changed to monochrome to reduce the photo to shapes without distractions.
