Farm in the Valley in the Afternoon

Photo of the Day 323/366

I took this photo over this past weekend. I was driving back from my son’s home in the afternoon. I knew this spot from the days when I drove into work on the same route every morning. I didn’t often get to photograph this scene in the afternoon, so I pulled over and took the picture. I like the wispy clouds and the clear blue sky against the sunlit hills.

Straight Road into the Cemetery

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Monday Monochrome: This photo was taken over the summer in a (mostly) abandoned town named Centralia. This town has a coal seam under it which has burned for years. This was one of two cemeteries in the town. I liked this shot because of the road going in a straight line into the cemetery – it seemed fitting with the condition of the town.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
