I hadn’t owned an SLR camera since the 80’s, but last week I went out and bought a Nikon. Here’s one of my first shots with the new camera, of one of my favorite subjects: nearby Spencer Creek.

Thanks, Tom. Since the 80’s I’ve used several snapshot cameras, and for the last couple of years I’ve been using an iPhone 12 Pro.

Curious as to which Nikon you bought.
I got a D5600 bundle – camera plus 18-55mm lens and 70-300mm lens. I’ll still use the iPhone for macros, panoramas, and when the Nikon is inconvenient. I’m already enjoying the higher definition images (twice as many megapixels as the phone!) and the clunk of the shutter.
You are going to have so much fun especially when using the 70-300mm. That’s when you will become a peeping tom like me😉😂
May suggest the next time you want to spend some money, buy the auto extension tubes for Nikon, you will then have all your bases covered.
