Back when I lived in Northern Virginia, I took a trip to the Maryland state fair. While it was not even close to the size of state fairs in the midwest, it still had some of the same things… fried “whatever food you can think of” and a carnival with lots of ride. Though I don’t remember the exact name of the ride.
