Sun setting over the hill

Out on one of my evening walks, the sun was going down and I think some of the haze from the western wildfires still colored the sky.  As the sunset neared, I hurried up the hill to try to catch the last bits of the day. I was rewarded with the final moment as the sun dipped behind the trees at the top of the hill. The streaming clouds and the cool breeze added to the feeling of the coming night.

Purple Flowers in the Dark Woods – While at my in-laws home, my wife was helping with some paperwork.  I decided to go for a walk.  Their home is surrounded by woods and I found these purple flowers growing just at the edge of those woods.  They may have been planted as they almost seemed out of place. But there were still beautiful, there.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
