Photo of the Day 256/365

Layers of Trees and Mist at Sunrise

This photo was taken yesterday morning on the way to work. The sun had just risen as I pulled off the road into the wet grass. The dew was thick and the fog and mist hung over the fields, trees, and valleys. I pulled out the telephoto lens to try to capture the layers of light and shadow and I think this came out fairly well with the risen sun.

Swirling Clouds and Stars

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Wednesday Minimalism: I tried out some long-exposure apps on my iPhone and after a number of attempts, mostly bad, this one was the keeper. The sky was not too bright and the clouds were visible but not washed out. If you can see the larger image, you can see faint stars. At our place, the sky never really get very dark, so seeing stars (for me) doesn’t  happen often.

Joe Bennett

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
