Photo of the Day 327/365

Cormorant on the Dock at Night

I shot this photo last evening. We are on a mini-vacation to Cape Cod and my wife told me to look at the dock. To my surprise, there was a cormorant just hanging out there. She said she had heard it fly over and land. I was glad she told me – I took it with the iPhone in night mode. I did a little editing in Lightroom and I think it came out great. A great first night’s memory.

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Thursday Expressions: This shot of my dog, Merlin was taken a few years ago at our previous home. I was laying on the floor and he just sat there, waiting for me to call him. I took this shot just before calling him. He’s getting older now and doesn’t really run anywhere, anymore, but he’ll always be “my pup”.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
