Photo of the Day 18/366

Ominous Sky at Sunset

I took this photo a couple of days ago after dropping off my coworker. I stopped at a few locations on the way home because the sky was changing so fast. The colors went from orange to gold to a dark foreboding gray and then to red and pink. I took this from my car window in a church parking lot looking uphill at the tree. My original subject was tree, but the sky is what added the real drama to the photo.

Intensive Stare

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Thursday Expression: I took this photo out of my archives. We were visiting a festival of some sort where they were demonstrating raptors. They had trained falcons of all types, hawks, and a few owls. This owl was sitting waiting his turn in an enclosure. I managed to get close enough to get this shot of his intense stare at his handler.

Joe Bennett

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
