Photo of the Day 42/366

Roadtrip Sunrise Sky on the Way to Virginia

I took this shot from the passenger seat. Five of us were on a Karate Roadtrip to Virginia for a tournament. We had a blast talking and laughing. We noted how odd the sky looked with the sun trying to come through and lighting up the clouds. It was still a beautiful sky somewhere in Virginia and I got to sit and talk with one of my favorite people.

Quote of the Day: “God did not come to do away with suffering; he did not even come to explain it. He came to fill it with his presence.” – Paul Claudel

Simple Flowers in Field

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Sunday Nature: This photo, from my archives, is one that brings the joys of Spring to my mind. Simple purple flowers growing at the edge of a farmer’s field. Noticing them from the side of the road, while out for a long, slow, meander in the Spring sunshine. Feeling the warmth of the sun, even feeling the beads of sweat from the sun but not really noticing it because of the beauty surrounding you.

Joe Bennett

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
