Old Country Road at Sunset

Photo of the Day 63/366

I took this photo last weekend when out for a longer drive with my youngest. We were early on our return as our home was hosting an event so we needed to ‘waste some time”.  I decide drive through our nearby game lands and take a few photos. It wasn’t quite sunset but getting close. I was walking back to the car when I spotted this scene. I managed a couple of photos before the sun sank into the trees. This image represents what I saw then I snapped this shot.

Sunday Nature: This photo was taken a few years ago at our last home. Our home was in a much more rural setting. The birds seemed to not be as skittish and frightened as where we are now. I could get close enough to get shots like this. This one was just hunting for lunch as I snapped 20 or so shots – this was the best one.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
