Sun Kissing the Night Sky

Photo of the Day 73/366

I shot this photo last evening.  I happened to look out the window and noticed the waning of the day and saw a little color so I ventured out. I was warmer than expected but as I walked down our road and into the neighbors yard, I spied the dark sky and the sun just skating the edge of the hill, saying good-night to all and I’ll see you int the morning. The structure of the clouds also make this photo a success. The clouds almost seem heavy, bearing down on the waning day.

Wednesday Minimalism: I made this shot many years ago in Cape May. We used to go every year. I posted a similar shot to this a few weeks ago without the chair.  Almost the same place (not exactly) and the same colors of sunrise (Cape May does that to you) – but it was in different years.  We’ve had some life events happen in Cape May which made us reach out to other destinations, but who knows, someday, we may go back – you never know. The sunrises were beautiful.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
