Sunset over a Local Church

Photo of the Day 95/366

This photo was taken about 3 weeks ago on an walk, while trying to catch some semblance of a sunset. The sun was setting when I was passing a local church. At the time I took this, the parking lot was empty and there was no one there. It almost looked like a warehouse. In any case, I had to edit this photo to bring out some light in the foreground because I believe there should be some “subject” beyond just the sunset. However, the sunset, that evening was a good one.

I took this photo on a recent trip to Washington DC. We were supposed to see the Cherry Blossoms, but we missed it by a week. That happens when you plan a trip months in advance, based on a single event. In any case, it was raining, and I made the best of it and tried to take good shots, but not of cherry blossoms.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
