Old Country Land and Bridge

Photo of the Day 124/366

This photo was taken a number of years ago while on a tourist-type train ride in the upper-entral part of Pennsylvania. The old steam train travels the old tracks and this bucolic view as taken from the train window. Except for the road sign, this could have been taken 50 or even 100 years ago – or it could have been taken in the valleys of Europe. It makes me nostalgic for what the past of our countryside would have looked like.

Raindrops on the Wall and Floor

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Friday Creative: This photo was taken out my window at work. My view is a wall and rooftop of our building. If I look up, I can see the sky, but the scenery, is naught. When it was raining a few weeks ago, I noticed how the initial drops were leaving their marks and thought that it looked like a modernist painting. I took this view both in vertical and horizontal formats – I thought this worked best. The best view out my window I’ve had for awhile.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
