Sunset Over the Valley

Photo of the Day 157/366

This photo was taken late last week. On this particular walk, the sun was hiding behind clouds and trees on the right of the frame. The colors in the clouds over the valley, however, were very pretty with reds, oranges, golds, and bits of gray and blue. The field was lit by the sky above and the sky to the west looked like a painters palette. It seems, over the past few weeks, that the sunset clouds are more “streaky” and less defined – but they are still beautiful.

Hummingbird in for a Visit

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Wednesday Nature: This photo was taken on our deck. We had hummingbird feeders at our last house and wanted to see if we could attract them at our new home. We decided to put up a single small feeder to determine if it would work. They came to us within 2 days. Now, a pair come in daily to partake of the nectar we have in the feeder. We are now getting more hooks and more feeders to see if we can attract more hummingbirds.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
