Dusk Sky on the River

Photo of the Day 171/366

This photo was taken earlier while traveling through our state’s capitol city, Harrisburg. Front Street runs beside the river and is normally very pretty. However, with the right sky, either sunset, or just after, the sky and river can light up. At those times, the details of the islands and shore can disappear into darkness leaving bands of color – and this was one of those occasions.

Quote of the Day: “Usually we’re only half-conscious of the way thoughts direct you life; we’re lost in thoughts as if they’re reality.” – Jack Kornfield

Pink Damask Rose

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Wednesday Nature:  This photo was taken a few weeks ago at the Hershey Hotel Gardens. The main display consists of various kinds and colors of roses. I really liked the bright color and the light that was available when I took this photo. I tried to isolate it amongst the literally thousands of roses there. There were other displays and other flowers by the roses seemed to go on forever. If you can, you should stop by when the roses are blooming.

Just a guy with interests in photography, karate, and (sigh) work. I post one of my photos and a quote every day. I like to make a beautiful dent in the the negativity of social media. The photos are mine, so please don't reuse without permission. I hope you enjoy!
