A Nice Place to Sit by the Coast

I took this photo on our vacation a few weeks ago. It was taken in the yard of the spot where we like to stay when we are on Mt. Desert Island on our own. This view, and the serenity of the “quiet side” is why we love to stay at this place. The ocean is less than 100 yards from our cabin and we can hear the boats, the birds, and the waves and very few people. A quiet place, indeed.

Monday Monochrome: This photo was shot sometime over this past summer while out on a drive with my wife. It was a hot, humid day and I believed it was ripe for a storm. While out on our drive, I noticed the huge cloud starting to build on the horizon. The fields seem to be a nice foreground for the shot. In the end, the storm did not hit us, but passed off to the north.
