The nation’s oldest commercial filbert (hazelnut) farm, Dorris Ranch is a popular location for walking, bird-watching and special events.

The living history interpretive village presents the opportunity to step into a day in the life of early settlers. The historic houses can be viewed from the outside and are opened only for scheduled school field trips

The 4.5 miles (7.2 km) of gravel walking paths pass through old filbert orchards, a Douglas-fir forest and along the Middle Fork of the Willamette River

Dorris Ranch is also the western-most trailhead for the Middle Fork Path, a 4 mile (6.4 km) paved path running along the Middle Fork of the Willamette and connects to Clearwater Park. There are multiple restrooms near the parking area
