We have two summer chamber music festivals here in Ottawa, one following hard on the heels of the other.  I was reminded by a friend as we watched a hoop dance at Ottawa Chamberfest that I had not posted shots I got at the previous festival, Music and Beyond.  There an evening was put together to showcase folk from various cultures of the indigenous communities.  Activities ranged from a smokedance through throat singing to Métis step dancing to a hoop dance.  Enjoy..
