Well it is a public secret, that I am a fan of J.R.R Tolkien. Almost read all of his books and find it high standing literature.
That includes The Lord of the ring saga, as much as I like the movies, they not hold a candle to the books. The world he created complete with history, languages, genealogy and much more, could be a reality on its own. In fact it is.
Last week I got a present from somebody who is or was a huge fan together with his father, untill his father left us for a better place. He gave me one of his rings , they had a huge collection. It is the one ring with red inscription , the ring poem, in the dark speech of Mordor, what we will not speak here.
It translates like this
One ring to rule them all
One ring to find them
One ring to bring them all
and in darkness ( shadows ) bind them
This is not the complete poem, but this is what is on the ring.
I am very happy with this gift and it will compagnion me if I read the books again.
Or maybe just maybe has the ring found me and is it calling me to bring it back to his master. Will I turn in Gollem if I keep it long enough, some would say it is a better look for me. The future holds the thruth and will reveale itself.

Peter What a great gift and beautiful ring, I love the books when I first read them. In my opinion they are the type of books that take you into the storyline. I myself did not really care for the movies and I have had people just look at me and say what how come 🙂 Anyway Love the Ring and love the set of photos that you created for the ring well done
Thanks Tom. Most who like the movies, never read the books. The books are so much more. Peter Jackson said they had a hard time to limit the books to 3 movies. What to keep and what to change.
