The rain storm was coming in but I still needed to get out so I decided to walk a route that never was more than a block from home.  This resulted in a walk that covered venues that I see on a daily basis, that showed me that I should delight in what I know…

I never tire of this view looking over the Byward Locks and Museum over to the Museum of History on the other side of the Ottawa River.  Then walking along the terrace of the Chateau Laurier…

Through Major Hills Park across from the National Gallery…

Checking out the construction of the new pedestrian bridge linking the Gallery and Nepean point to the park…

At the Gallery Roxy Paine’s One Hundred Foot Line looms in the gloomy light like a blasted tree on a WW1 barren battlefield…

Along to the Alexandra Bridge…

A quick view of Parliament Hill from the viewpoint…

And then home just as the rain started, I live in the brown brick building.
